Acetic acid 0.6% is a mildly acidic diluent, sterile filtered and sealed in a 10 ml borosilicate vial with a red flip-off cap so it is never confused with bacteriostatic water. It is used where a lyophilised laboratory reagent specifies an acidic solution for reconstitution.
Which diluent to use
Use acetic acid 0.6% only where a reagent's instructions call for an acidic diluent. Where they call for bacteriostatic water, use that instead: the two are not interchangeable.
Labelling and storage
Sold as single 10 ml vials. Each label carries the lot number, the expiry date and a QR code that opens this page. Store sealed between 2 and 25 °C.

Returns and refunds
Sealed, unopened items can be returned within 14 days for a refund. Opened sterile products cannot be resold and are not returnable unless faulty. Damaged in transit: photo within 48 hours, replacement sent.
